Where Am I?
I’m based in the North East, just outside Darlington, and you’re welcome here anytime for a cuppa and to chew the fat over your project so we get off on exactly the right tracks! However, with the wonders of modern technology we can also email, Skype, What’sApp or call to discuss your brief. Depending on logistics, costs and the size of the project I’m also happy to travel to you if you think your project would benefit from it.
How Much Will It Cost?
How long is a piece of string? Every project is totally different depending on the audience, required research, length and time required to complete. I will provide a unique quote for every project clearly detailing how much time is expected, the stages to sign-off and rounds of amends anticipated for your project. Additional time will never be added onto an invoice without your prior agreement. Of course, it always helps if you can give me an idea of a budget as part of your brief! Your individual quote will also show you the payment schedule and cancellation charges so there shouldn’t be any surprises.
What about deadlines?
Heard the one about writers loving a tight deadline, every word of it is true for this writer! Personally, I thrive on having an end point to aim for so when we’ve agreed a realistic time frame I can guarantee I’ll hit it! And don’t hesitate if you’ve a really tight cut-off, I’m used to juggling so let’s have the conversation and see what’s possible! Burning midnight oil is my favourite smell after all!
What if I change my mind?
Change is a good thing and shows that everyone is keeping the audience right at the heart of the project if the message needs to shift mid-writing to better meet their needs. The best way to manage change is talk about it as soon as possible and we can always find a way forward!
Can I see a sample of your work?
Due to client confidentiality I don’t post examples of my work on the site but if you are interested in working with me, I’m happy to send you a small sample of previous commissions along with testimonials from satisfied customers for you to review.
Do you only write in English?
Yes my native language is English but I have access to translators if you require your project to be available in multi-lingual format. I can also help if you’re translating into English from another language and want to ensure it reads smoothly and correctly.
Do you write for oversees clients?
Yes definitely – it’s fantastic to get an insight to other countries, cultures and markets so I thrive on having the chance to work outside my domestic market.
